Mod to improve feel and reduce switch travel.

Courtesy of and reprinted with the approval of blu on Discord.

in my attempts to reduce travel distance on mechanical frets I made a fret that feels in-between mech and cut silicone. It both decreased the travel distance and acted like a cushion when the switch bottoms out it has the action of a mech fret but when it bottoms out it feels exactly like silicone frets. I haven’t played too much with it, but it feels nice, damn it feels really nice.

i just got the travel distance for my frets below 1mm they’re silent too. They’re actually so silent that i can hear the acoustics of the hollow neck when I press them down.

The only tools required are a set of tweezers and a pair of scissors to cut the rubber band.
