    I , my machine is cnc plasma table. I have one of your 4 axis board with 4 nema 23 305 oz.I use mach3 software. When i’m on stanby ( preparing sheet metal) , i can see that Y and A motor ,A slave to Y, bicome very hot . Lot more than x a z axis . There is a reason for that ? I d’ont want expload my motor .

    If the current-control voltage (as measured at the test points X, Y, Z & A) is the same, then all motors should heat the same.

    I have 305s and they will get very warm (too hot to hold for more than a second-or-two), but they are all the same ‘hot’.

    Are you using the power reduction feature on just some of the motors (J4 removed in some of the 2×4 headers)?
